SOUND DEADENING MATERIAL
FOR ADDING DIAMOND AUDIO MSPRO65 MIDRANGE / HERTZ SV165.1 & OTHER BRAND 
SPEAKERS TO 2015-UP HARLEY DAVIDSON ROAD GLIDE
 
It is commonly known that when adding any type of aggressive 6.5 speakers to the speaker pod's in 2015 & Up Harley Road Glides it requires the speaker pod to be modified so the magnet clears the back of the pod for a successful speaker installation.
 
There are (2) known way's this can be accomplished 
 
(1) WE DO NOT ENDORSE OR RECOMMEND THIS WAY 
You can heat up the rear of the speaker pod to make clearance for the magnet - this issue with doing the modification this way is when you heat up the speaker pod it is necessary for the speaker to be forced into the pod to allow the heated up portion to mold around the speaker, when this is done you will be putting stress on the basket of the speaker and in turn can aggravate the voice coil of the speaker itself commonly causing the voice coil to become misaligned with the frame of the speaker, this will cause a scratchy sound instead of a quality sound coming out of the speaker, it can cause premixture failure of the speaker and overall you will have a unhappy speaker and the result will be undesirable output of the speaker.
Lastly and just as important when the speaker pod cools off the cooled off plastic portion will become solid against the magnet assembly of the speaker and result in constant undesired pressure on the magnet and basket / frame assembly of the speaker causing all of the above to occur.
 
(2) THE WAY WE FEEL IS THE CORRECT WAY 
You can purchase brands of speakers that are designed to fit with the "all new" NEO Magnet - although in general NEO is a very advanced magnet assembly it does no good when the magnet is tiny, what will happen is when you are on your ride with your Harley Buddies seeing who's system is louder or better you will end up melting that tiny NEO magnet and you have a loss of a speaker and hopefully your buddies are not laughing at you all the way down the Highway.
The MSPRO65 6.5 Midrange along with many other brands require modification to your speaker pod, do it once and do it the right way, shown in our pictures is a small area to cut and allow your magnet to be free, however what do you do with the Hole? you must seal it, so here is your solution, just the right amount of Sound Deadening material to cover both speaker pods.
